MG ZS EV vs Mahindra XUV400: Which is the better electric car? | Electric SUVs Comparison | TOI AutoTOI Auto has learned that Tata Motors' dedicated EV division Tata.ev is all set to launch its next product in the Indian market very soon. As per our sources, the Tata Punch EV (stylized as Punch.ev) will make a full debut in the country in the last week of January 2024, followed by a launch. It should be noted that Tata Motors is yet to officially confirm any details about the official launch date of the Tata Punch EV.That said, the Punch EV will go on to become a direct rival of the Citroen eC3 in the market, and could possibly even be the most affordable fully electric SUV in the country. For reference, pricing for the Citroen eC3 starts from Rs 11.61 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.79 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).Specs for the Tata Punch EV aren't available yet either, however, we expect it to make use of a slightly larger battery pack as compared to the 24kWh unit seen on the Tiago EV and Tigor EV. An ARAI-certified range of around 350km can be expected from the fully electric SUV, with fast charging capabilities. The Tata Punch EV is expected to get a few additional features over the ICE Punch keeping in mind the higher price tag, including LED headlights, all-wheel disc brakes, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Arcade.ev app suite, and the new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata Motors logo as seen on the new Nexon as well as the Nexon EV.Stay tuned to TOI Auto for all updates on the Tata Punch EV's debut next month.
