By LARRY NGALAMore by this AuthorTanzania’s top amateur Victor Joseph beat Kenya’s Golfer of The year champion Edwin Mudanyi of Vet Lab by two shots, to claim the 2018 Muthaiga Open title at the par 71 Muthaiga Golf Club course. During the third round, the off scratch Joseph birdied the second and fourth but with five bogeys over the third, seventh, ninth, 13th and 16th. Finishing third was round one leader Robinson Owiti, also from Vet Lab, who carded 69, 78 and 75 for a total of 222. The overall nett title remained at Muthaiga with Godfrey Butichi on nett 217, four shots better than Thika’s Edwin Kiarie. The nett rounds winners were Reuben Njoroge of Karen on 72, home player Ben Murimi with 69 and Karen’s Anthony Gacheru who scored 71 nett.
