The Centre cleared the ordinance last night, paving the way for the Tamil Nadu government to pass it. Mixed reactions Many across Tamil Nadu welcomed the decision, saying jallikattu is a part of Tamil culture and that steps should be taken immediately to make it a permanent feature.
