Friday, August 18, 2017After Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami (EPS) bowed down before the demands of the rival O Panneerselvam camp, a decision on the merger of two main factions in the AIADMK is expected to be announced soon. Ahead of the AIADMK merger, OPS camp leaders went into a huddle at the former chief minister's residence. It is expected that they leaders will take a final call on merger. The Panneerselvam faction will be taking stock of the announcements made by Chief Minister K. Palaniswami on Thursday - setting up a judicial commission to inquire into the death of then Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and converting her Poes Garden residence into a memorial. The AIADMK broke into three factions after Jayalalithaa's death in December.
