Sensing trouble, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled before passers-by reached the accident spot. The Old Airport Road traffic rushed to the spot and struggled to summon a crane to pull the damaged vehicles off the road. By the time the crane reached spot, it was around 9 a.m. Due to this, vehicular movement on the busy road during the peak hour was disrupted for over two hours, the police said.
