The cultural affairs ministry published the names on Thursday. Actor Ilias Kanchan has been awarded in the social welfare category for his contribution to his campaign for road safety. Sheikh Sadi Khan, Sujeyo Shyam, Indra Mohan Rajbongshi, Md Khurshid Alam and Motiul Haque Khan are receiving the award for their contribution to music.Minu Haque will receive the award for dance, Nikhil Kumar Sengupta for drama, Kalidas Karmaker for fine arts and Golam Mustafa for photography.Ranesh Maitra was awarded for his contribution to journalism, Language Movement veteran late Prof Zulekha Haque to research, Moinul Islam for economics, and Syed Manzoorul Islam, Saiful Islam Khan (Hayat Saif), Subrata Barua, Robiul Hussain and late Khaleqdad Chowdhury for their contribution to language and literature.The cultural affairs ministry said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand the awards to the winners and their families at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka on Feb 20.
