The Regulr mobile app has crashed this morning amid high demand for takeaways on the first day of Alert Level 3. The app enables users to order hot drinks and food from nearby hospitality establishments for pick up. Morning Magpie owner Troy Butler said he had spoken with Regulr, who said the crash was nationwide but were working on a fix. With the app not working he had set up payWave outside the cafe, and had people ordering over the phone or from outside instead. The Otago Daily Times received reports of people unable to use the app to order takeaways from local cafes.
