National Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute Association Coalition deputy president Roslan Awang Ali said the school officials had never appealed for donation following the fire on Thursday. Roslan, who is also part of the school management, said he made the reminder after rumours spread that some individuals or groups had claimed to represent the school to collect donations. "The school management has never asked for donation from the public as we have our own source of income. It was reported that the school caught fire at about 5am on Thursday, killing 21 students and two teachers. Roslan urged public to be extra vigilant when approached by people asking for donations for the school.
