Special investigations team visits site of Keramat tahfiz fire


KUALA LUMPUR: A group of policemen were seen entering the compound of the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz at 1.35pm today. The team, comprising six officers, is believed to be part of the special investigations team which was immediately formed following Thursday's pre-dawn fire that claimed 23 lives in Kampung Datuk Keramat. The officers who were in plain clothes spent about 20 minutes inside the burnt building before they were seen exiting at about 1.50pm. The six are believed to be from the taskforce announced by Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi set up to conduct a thorough investigation on the tragic incident. The group was seen taking photos and inspecting the second floor while they were there.
