The newly elected members of parliament from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will not take oath if the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) MPs refuse to do so as members of the Constitution Reform Commission, said Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdullah Muhammad Taher. He said they will attend the ceremony, but if the BNP MPs do not take the oath for the Constitution Reform Commission, Jamaat’s newly elected MPs will not take any oath. Earlier, BNP's Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said the newly elected members of parliament from the BNP will not be taking the oath as members of the Constitution Reform Commission. The newly elected MP from Cox’s Bazar-1 said: “None of us have been elected as members of the Constitution Reform Commission, and it is not yet incorporated into the Constitution. According to the referendum, if the Constitution Reform Commission is formed, it must first be included in the Constitution.
