She, an avowed atheist, is confessing to Hot Priest (played by Andrew Scott), the man with whom she’s fallen in love. Fleabag also chooses to love the individual — Hot Priest, first, and then, perhaps, herself — rather than embrace religion. For Fleabag, this manifests itself when Hot Priest visits her café for the first time. As the final episode ends, Hot Priest chooses his religion over Fleabag, but only after offering her that same empathy, which is really all she needs.
