TTC subway train seen on video crossing Bloor Viaduct with open doors

Video footage posted on Twitter showing a subway train crossing the Bloor Viaduct with a pair of its doors gaping open has prompted an investigation by the TTC. “At Broadview, the train was taken out of service because of those door problems,” Ross said. The Twitter user who posted the video had not returned the Star’s requests for comment as of Saturday afternoon. “Doors can be isolated that are malfunctioning, but we barricade them in those instances,” said Ross. According to Ross, the trains are designed with safety features that automatically cut the subway's power and prompt the driver to hit the emergency brake if the doors remain open.
