The TTC has ended free parking at three stations along the Line 1 subway extension. In a news release issued last week, the transit organization announced that free parking was offered “as a courtesy” so that users could get familiar with the new options along Line 1. Six additional subway stops were opened on the Yonge-University line on Dec. 17, with lots opened at Highway 407, Finch West and Pioneer Village stations. Commuters will now be charged a $7 daily rate to use the lots at the three stations. The TTC says that parking will be free on weekends and statutory holidays.
