KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) is making early preparations as well as taking precautionary measures to minimise damage to electrical installations during the upcoming flood season. TNB Chief Distribution Network Officer Datuk Baharin Din said flood coordination meetings had been held with the State and District Disaster Management Committees and training sessions had also been held to face possible threats from flood waters. “Any customers affected by the disruption to electricity connections during flood are advised to call TNB at 15454 or to its Facebook, TNB Careline for immediate action,” he said. He also advised the public to be careful when using the electrical appliances if their homes are inundated with flood waters. “Do not touch any electrical appliances or switches with wet or moist hands as it might cause electrocution,” he said.
