Recently some lives were lost in a fire at a private hospital due to the negligence of the hospital authority and two people, who allegedly fired at two top bank officials, fled the country by an air ambulance. In a statement, TIB claimed the incidents occurred with the help of concerned authorities. Considering the national interest, the organization called for ensuring accountability in the business sector and strictly implementing the ‘zero tolerance policy’ declared by the prime minister. The statement quoted TIB Executive Director Dr Iftekharuzzaman: “Several accusations were made against the hospital authorities over the recent fire. “The way one concerned department is putting the blame on another, it has further strengthened the fear of illegal collusion,” he mentioned.
