The Home Affairs Ministry has directed all law enforcement agencies to assist the local administrations in this endeavour. The instructions were conveyed through a letter signed by Abdul Jalil, the ministry’s deputy secretary, on Saturday, reports Bangla Tribune. All members of Bangladesh Police, BGB, Coast Guard and other law enforcement agencies under the Public Safety Division were directed to help local administrations in managing mobile courts in accordance with the Mobile Court Act 2009 and Communicable Diseases (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act 2018. The Directorate General of Health Services has directed all law enforcement agency personnel to maintain a distance of 4-6 feet between one another, wash hands with soap for 20 seconds, use hand sanitizers containing 70% alcohol, and observe other health safety guidelines. The letter also said it was mandatory for every citizen to adhere to the health guidelines issued by the government according to the Communicable Diseases (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act 2018.
