TB patients aid community transmission by shunning hospital —Physician

Lawanson said failure of TB patients and those with presumptive TB presenting at the hospital for treatment, might increase the possibility of Nigeria having increased cases. “On the side of the patients, a lot them are not visiting the hospital, leading to reduction of presumptive TB cases that are seen. “The implication is that many TB patients are staying back at home and also because of the lockdown, a lot of them are staying in close contact with their families and even those with presumptive TB.
