Adebayo Folorunsho-FrancisThe Nigerian Red Cross Society and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency have urged Nigerians to empathise with survivors of collapsed buildings, saying their open display of aggression is sometimes a sign of depression. Speaking to PUNCH HealthWise, Lagos chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Mrs. Adebola Kolawole, said it is not unusual to see survivors of building collapse or accident exhibit some levels of aggression. Kolawole also disclosed that the health challenges associated with such conditions differ from one person to the other. In recent times, Lagos State has experienced several cases of building collapse. According to the Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Olufemi Osanyintolu, for every building collapse or facility disaster, there is always a psychological aspect to it.
