Air New Zealand said a system error led to some OneSmart cardholders having money loaded onto their cards accidentally. Some Air New Zealand OneSmart cardholders found themselves temporarily richer on Friday. OneSmart cards are pre-paid payment cards onto which travellers can load money in different currencies to spend when overseas. She did not say how many cardholders were affected, but said no cardholders' had had money taken from their accounts in error. "No funds were incorrectly removed from customer accounts and Air New Zealand apologises to customers for any inconvenience caused," she said.
