Police wouldn't comment further on the nature of the accident (file photo). A child has died in an accident in Wellington overnight. The child received critical injuries at an address in Aotea late on Friday night, police said. "Sadly, efforts to revive the child were unsuccessful and they died at the scene." Police wouldn't disclose the circumstances of the death, which appeared to be of accidental nature.
