KUCHING: Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus capped another milestone in its students’ achievement after secondyear accounting major Lim Yee Wen scored 73% for the ACCA exams. The results announced on Oct 16 showed Swinburne Sarawak had achieved a 57% passing rate, surpassing the ACCA World Pass Rate of 53%. In June, Swinburne Sarawak and ACCA inked an agreement for the ACCA Accelerate programme that enables the university’s second-year accounting or double major accounting and finance degree students to sit for the ACCA Professional Level papers. Swinburne Sarawak Dean of Faculty of Business and Design, Associate Prof Dr Lee Miin Huui expressed content with the remarkable feat considering that was the university’s first ACCA examination. “I hope Lim’s achievement will boost other students’ confidence in obtaining ACCA qualification while pursuing their degree,” he said.
