Maisy MokAn overwhelming surge in demand for Covid-19 testing led to the Baptist Hospital suspending its testing service starting from the start of the week. "Over the past weekend, public demand for nucleic acid testing has increased. Testing was suspended on Monday, with the service since being restricted to the hospital's own patients. But several hospitals said yesterday their public testing quotas for today have been filled, including Gleneagles and Adventist in Tsuen Wan. Nearly 100 people queued outside St Teresa's, at midnight yesterday, with the hospital announcing its quota of 50 for daily public testing was full at 5am.
