Suspects at large in Manawatu police pursuitPolice are looking for two suspects after a pursuit in Manawatu on Friday morning. A police spokesperson said officers attempted to pull over a vehicle near Ashhurst about 7.20am but the driver refused to stop and fled the scene. After a brief pursuit police abandoned the chase for safety reasons. Police arrested one person at the crash site, and deployed a dog unit to track the two occupants of the vehicle who had fled. Officers were seen searching for the pair near Te Matai Rd, between Ashhurst and Palmerston North, about 8.30am.
