The deceased, Mehedi, 32, had around 17 cases filed against him. By text message, RAB 2 stated that they had been conducting an anti-drug drive in the area when the "gunfight" took place. Furthermore, two RAB members were injured in the incident. The elite force recovered foreign revolvers, bullets, and a large amount of heroin from the spot.
