Police produced Obayedul Khan, accused in the case by the victim's family, before a Dhaka court on Monday, a day before the end of his six-day remand. "In his statement, Obayed confessed to stabbing the girl." Willes Little Flower School student Risha was knifed by a youth on Aug 24 on the foot over-bridge in front of her school at Kakrail. The 14-year-old girl’s family said Obayed, who worked at a tailoring shop in the capital, had been ‘harassing’ Risha over phone for some months. He was produced before a court the next day, when police got six days to interrogate him in custody.
