Our Special CorrespondentCalcutta: A survey on sexual harassment at the workplace was launched in the city on Thursday. Mahila Bol will focus on women across various sectors, said Amarpreet Kaur of HRhelpdesk in the city on Thursday. Kaur stressed that the law on sexual harassment at the workplace is in place and so should be the mechanism in workplaces, following the law. Instead of blaming men alone for harassment, women should also make themselves aware of what should be done to seek redressal, she said. Soma Sen Gupta of Sanhita, a women's rights initiative working on sexual harassment at the workplace, said the fact that the survey is partnered by the Union ministry could help it reach remote areas.
