The general alcohol consumption rate of Vietnamese people was high at 43.8 per cent of the country’s adult population. The figures on alcohol consumption were part of the latest survey on non communicable disease (NCD) risk factors revealed yesterday (Sept 8) in Ha Noi. The survey found that the general smoking rate of Vietnamese aged 15 years and above was at 22.5 per cent. The survey was conducted by the health ministry’s Preventive Medicine Department on nearly 3,800 people aged between 18 and 69 years in Viet Nam in 2015.
