KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman tabled a RM4.104 billion budget for 2018, with a surplus of RM64.89 million here. This is the fourth consecutive surplus budget tabled by the state. He also said the state government would contribute RM820 million, the highest amount of contribution to date, to the state development fund. The 2018 budget would also set aside RM422.5 million for people’s welfare and prosperity; RM315.3 million for human capital and information technology and RM91.4 million for women, youths, and sports. "Fundamentally, the state development and the people’s prosperity are our top priority hence, there should not be any accusation that this budget is just goodies for the people.
