"The Medical Council also considers whether or not it needs to undertake an assessment of the doctor's competence." "Accordingly, I find that [the orthopaedic surgeon] did not provide services to [the woman] with reasonable care and skill." Wall also advised the Medical Council of New Zealand consider whether a review of the orthopaedic surgeon's competence is warranted. The Herald has sought a response from the Medical Council of New Zealand and is awaiting a response.
