Supreme Court orders IEBC to provide election forms for scrutiny

The Supreme Court has ordered IEBC to allow petitioners access to all original copies of Forms 34 A, B, and C.The court has also ordered the electoral agency to provide the parties with a certified copy of the voters register. The six-judge bench rejected the parties' request for access to KPMG's report, ballot boxes, logs of KIEMS kits and SC cards. The petitioners will choose seven people while IEBC will decide on the number of people that will oversee the scrutiny. The unanimous ruling came after the court rejected the participation of opposition leader Raila Odinga's NASA coalition in the petitions. The court declined requests by two voters - Stephen Ooko and Caleb Wamaya - who wanted to be respondents and interested parties respectively.
