Sunrise Records will be taking over 70 HMV locations in malls across Canada, two of which are in New Brunswick. The company announced that it will move into the former HMV stores in Saint John's McAllister Place and Fredericton's Regent Mall. "We want to support independent Canadian artists more than ever," said Sunrise Records president Doug Putman in a written release. Sunrise Records president Doug Putman said the company is taking over existing HMV locations across Canada. Sunrise Records stores will start opening in early April.
