Former India cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar claimed that Ranchi’s Jharkhand States Cricket Association International Cricket Stadium should be renamed after MS Dhoni as a tribute to the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman. Gavaskar made the claim while commentating on the ongoing third Test match between India and South Africa on Saturday in Ranchi. The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) have already dedicated a stand to Dhoni's name but Gavaskar says that the former Team India skipper deserves the entire stadium to be named after him. “There is Pavillion called MS Dhoni in this stadium but this stadium should be called MS Dhoni because he put Ranchi in the cricketing map,” Gavaskar said while commentating on the game. Ever since 'Mahi' lead Team India to all the coveted ICC trophies, Ranchi evolved into a cricket center.
