Legal department officials (in court) and the police can be tasked to answer where a particular summons or warrant went. From the prosecution cell, warrants are sent to various police stations for compliance. "But, once the online system is introduced, we will have to work swiftly and maintain clarity as the delivery points can be tracked." Also, many litigants or witnesses complain that they get their summonses served in the eleventh hour. "On an average, five out of 10 summons and warrants are not served due to various reasons, including wrong address," he said.
