KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) is hoping that its annual report will be debated at the next sitting of Parliament in July. "How can Malaysians and MPs not be participating in issues of human rights of the country. This is a Malaysian document," he told reporters after the public release of Suhakam's 2018 annual report on Friday (April 19). The Pakatan manifesto stated it would debate the Suhakam report in Parliament. Pakatan's manifesto also pledged that financial support for the activities of Suhakam and other human rights bodies will be improved.
