Sudbury church reunited with missing head from Baby Jesus statue

The missing head of a statue of baby Jesus outside Ste. Anne des Pins parish in Sudbury has been returned, and the controversial bright orange clay head that replaced it has been removed. ( Gino Donato / THE CANADIAN PRESS )After having been broken off and stolen from a statue outside Sudbury’s Paroisse Saint-Anne-des-Pins church, Baby Jesus’s head has been returned. When Father Lajeunesse arrived at the church a few years ago, it was clear the head had been decapitated in the past and was held together with adhesive. Now that the head has been returned, church leaders will be looking into security measures to prevent further theft, Father Lajeunesse said.
