YES, unprecedented, as the Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok said, full of joy and optimism. But the contents at most were pledges of some money, with a lot of talk about what was done to Sudan before. It is very unfair to say that the conference was of no benefits to Sudan, even if not a single penny poured into the pipeline. This guy was honest and direct to the point; he did not talk about how Qatar supported Sudan. But Qatar is heading toward the future for sustaining development, particularly when he mentioned the Juba peace talks between Sudan government and the rebels.
