Initial Public Offering (IPO)-bound Rays Power Infra Ltd has said that A.P. Moller Capital will invest ₹1,350 crore into its subsidiaries/special purpose vehicles implementing renewable power projects which will help the parent company garner some ₹5,700 crore of turnkey contract orders.“A.P. Moller Capital will result into a turnkey contract order worth some ₹5,700 crore for the parent company because the entire construction, EPC and development will be done by Rays Power Infra,” Mehta said.Denmark-headquartered A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk), will invest majority equity in the project SPVs while Rays Power Infra will hold minority stakes.Mehta noted that the investment by a marque investor like A.P. That’s a holy grail for renewable energy producers because people often say that renewable energy is not firm, and we never know how much it will come or not come.
