Singh has directed the officials concerned to prepare detailed lists of backlog vacancies pertaining to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes in their respective departments. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was conducting special reviews on the process of filling backlog vacancies and the departments should accordingly prepare action plans. The departments were also asked to prepare reports on the SC/ST backlog vacancies filled up since formation of the new State on June 2, 2014. According to an official release, of the 178 departments, only 69 had furnished detailed information regarding the SC/ST backlog vacancies so far. Mr. Singh said he would hold a separate review with the district Collectors about the SC/ST backlog posts and evolve an action plan for taking up the recruitment process.
