Share TweetBy Ellson QuismorioThe House Committee on Public Order and Safety chairman is supporting the proposed return of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), if only to propagate discipline and knowledge among its student-recipients. ROTC is back on the news after President Rodrigo Duterte bared his desire to make the program mandatory for senior high school students in the country. The high school equivalent of ROTC was the Citizen Army Training or CAT. At any rate, the Committee chairman said that members of the 17th Congress have filed bills calling for the return of ROTC.
