Senators are targeting to start the period of interpellations by Jan. 14, and approve the budget bill on second and third reading by January 16. Zubiri said hopefully, both the House and the Senate would be able to ratify the proposed 2019 budget on January 29. President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to sign the reenacted 2019 budget early February, as indicated in the tentative calendar.
