Around 550 students of Dirai High School and Dirai Girls High School queue up on the street to the Thana Chattar from 11am to 1pm on Saturday. In addition, Dirai High School has postponed examinations. The primary and mass education ministry had issued a notice warning the headmasters and managing committees of primary schools against making students stand to greet public representatives. The students of the two Dirai schools said they stood on the street on their teachers’ orders. The teachers said the students stood on the street ‘voluntarily’ and ‘not under any pressure’.
