Students decry vice-president appointments as HKU bosses meet

Shen has been under the microscope after he was revealed to be the Communist Party representative of his department at Tsinghua University. The group of 30 student representatives chanted slogans like “stop the vote”, “oppose to let Communist Party member take control of our school”. They said they wanted the appointments to be postponed until background investigations into the candidates were completed.
