A Wellington student's mother has spoken out about a landlord offering sex-for-rent arrangements in the Capital. University students' associations and fringe intimacy experts agree financially vulnerable students and backpackers are the most likely victims of sex-for-rent arrangements gone awry. CRAIGSLIST The latest ad posted by 'Tyler' on Craigslist seeks students and travellers "for a wide array of arrangements". Will Matthews, former president of the Auckland University Students' Association (AUSA), said "there were always rumours" of students winding up in sex-for-rent situations. President of Auckland University of Technology's students' association Dharyin Colbert said he could understand how "students living in expensive cities like Auckland and Wellington" could be tempted by sex-for-rent deals.
