Student keen to return to voluntary caregiving in KenyaKavinda Herath/Stuff Caregiver Zoe Dawson holds photos of a past trip to Kenya and bracelets, necklaces and crowns that were made by women there. Zoe Dawson is learning nursing skills at the Southern Institute of Technology to help underprivileged children in Kenya. Dawson, who is returning to Kenya in September, also works as a caregiver at Bupa's Ascot Care Home in Invercargill. During her time overseas last year Dawson also did voluntary work for Le Restaurant des Enfants de la Rue (LRDE) in Cambodia for three months. As a Year 13 student, she spent six weeks helping in a child care centre in Capricorn, a settlement near Cape Town, South Africa.
