A Kenyan activist working in Lebanon was saved from deportation by strangers at the country's airport. A report by the New Arab on Saturday, August 6, indicated that the unidentified activist was forcefully taken at the airport by the Lebanese General Security. "The Lebanese authorities are breaking international laws and norms by bypassing the UNHCR’s legal mandate to forcibly deport a registered asylum seeker," the organisation indicated.
