Kenya seems to underestimate tourism education in assuring guests of a memorable experience. Training is the pillar that drives the tourism sector. Any institution is free to enter the market without being asked to meet set threshold.The net effect of the free-for-all scenario is compromised quality of tourism education. Professional management of key hospitality and tourism training institution is the only way to sustain the country’s competitiveness. I salute KUC for remaining the country’s training center for specialized tourism manpower.
