KOTA KINABALU: A horrid stench from a river in Beaufort led to the discovery of a decomposing body, believed to be of an elderly man. He tried to trace the source of the stench, and then saw a corpse which was rotting and missing some body parts. The corpse was found to be missing parts of its body, including holes on its ribs and a skeletal right arm. “We believe animals have eaten parts of the body,” DSP Azmir said, adding that a driver’s license belonging to 66-year-old Peter Yen Ket Fah was found. The body has been sent to the Beaufort Hospital for a post-mortem to find out the cause of death.
