When Babalo Ndwayana, 19, was woken up by a strange noise outside his room at a campus residence at Stellenbosch University in the early hours of Sunday, he thought he was dreaming. But amid the nightmare and losing his meticulous notes a week shy of his examinations after a fellow first-year student and Huis Marais resident urinated on his belongings, including a laptop on loan from the university, Ndwayana maintained he was not vengeful.
