Stellantis, a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation, has reportedly issued a recall of 19,808 plug-in hybrid minivans following reports of fire around 12 of its parked vehicles. The recall comprises around 16,741 vehicles in the United States and 2,317 in Canada, and 750 outside North America. The automaker has broadened the recall of its Bolt EV to more than 140,000 vehicles for replacing battery modules amid reports of a series of fires. Also, it has indeterminately paused retail sales of new Bolt vehicles. Additionally, the firm had cited that the possessors of the stated EV with model years between 2017–2018 and 2020 or later would be receiving the new software update.
