Brendan Steele bounced back from a rocky start on Saturday with a red-hot finish, surging to take a three-stroke lead through three rounds of the Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii. Steele played the final 14 holes in 8 under to cap a round of 6-under 64. Four holes later, he hit his second shot at the par-5 ninth 209 yards to eight feet, then buried the putt for eagle. That led to a scorching, bogey-free back nine, where Steele racked up five birdies, including on each of the final three holes. Smith also birdied the final three holes, including a chip-in on his second shot at the par-3 17th.
